Just visited the area and did my first ride on Mulholland Highway.
What a great road.
Not only did I have a beautiful ride and mirror the other two comments, but I met many nice motorcyclists at the Rock Store and on the Snake.
It is more than a ride, but a great experience.
The road is quite popular and there are multiple photographers capturing the moment.
The stretch know as the Snake is technical and sees its fair share of crashes, so watch your speed and enjoy the views.

This is an excellent piece of roadway that has nice sweeping turns as well as a few twists thrown in for good measure.
The road surface is in good condition in the summer.
In the winter months it can have a little bit of sand and rocks from the rain but is still very well maintained.
You can either continue on Mulholland Hwy to the SR 23 to SR 1 or take the long sweepers of Encinal Canyon Rd to SR 1.
The highlight of the road other than the spectacular views and road conditions is The Rock Store.
On Sundays The Rock Store draws all kinds of motorcycles from classic to sport from all over LA and Ventura county.
There is often times many sightings of Jay Leno and other famous motorcycle enthusiasts as well as a live band on most summer Sundays.
The food and service is excellent and everybody is very friendly.

Great ride, some sections are very twisty.
The road is well traveled by sportbikes, cruisers, and a few sports cars.
The road is lined with ranches and will take you to the Rock Store.
The Rock Store is a great hangout spot for bikers.
It's a very diverse hangout spot.
If you haven't been through this area it's a must.
Every road in this area is great to ride and most of them will take you to the coast.
