Amazing mountains and pine and aspen forest, twisted roads, rivers, wild life.
Relax! Good camping along the way as well.

Nice road, we took the section from Naturita to Placerville on our way to Ridgway.
Had a great lunch in Norwood at the Lone Cone Restaurant & Bar.
Nice people and good food.

Great route!
Just avoid stopping in Telluride, you must pay to park now days and roads were under construction, so 30 to 45 min delays on route 145 and then another delay getting into town and then another delay getting out of town.
Blow right by and keep on going south!
Ride was 7/2007.

This road has it all.
Starts with flat land, moves into sweeping turns along the Delores River, rises to west side of the San Juan Range with a breath-taking view of Lizard Head Pass.
Wear appropriate clothing as you start in the desert and can end up with snow showers in August.
