Holy cow three times over — this ride is a hell of a lot of fun.
Fall colors, elevation changes, scenic vistas, this road is a joy to ride.

Before we go any further, this road is scenic, twisty, AND has sweeping turns (I was only able to select one).
This is the BEST road in Georgia for motorcycling!
It's such a great mixture of scenic overlooks, old time convenience stores, woods, fields, water falls, and hills.
My family is from this area and I have the best memories of our reunions around here as a child.
This little 15 mile road has so much to offer!
Waterfalls on the side of the road, hairpin turns (with a little gravel) outlined by only river stones keeping you from crashing off 1K feet of hillside, mirrors to see around the curves, rivers alongside the roadway, straight-aways with picturesque views of mountains over the fields with waterfalls in view, cabins, watermills, old towns (where it ends in Highlands), there's even a little country produce stand that has a big black wooden bear that you pay for what you buy....that's right, "the honor system"!
It winds into NC and back into GA a good bit.
One of the best parts is when you get to NC for the first time and you drive past a little old gas station in front of an open field, then instantly you are engulfed in trees and a sign says "Welcome to North Carolina"...you're almost guaranteed to smart off at it and say "thanks for the tip".
Be sure to stop off and chew on a piece of birch at some point - this is like a natural minty toothpick (not for sale, it's a stick you get out of the woods).
Anyone who finds themselves on US23/441 in Dillard should go just a little bit north of the Dillard House and make a right on this little gem.
It's only 15 miles, but it's almost a days worth of fun!
I love it so much that I take people up to show it off.
You will instantly feel younger/happier when you get your lungs full of that cool, fresh, sweet mountain air!
