- "Take US 20 out of Mt. Home. Make sure you fill up because next gas is 56 miles. The road is two lane and climbs and twists with great scenery along the way. Make sure to stop at the gas station in Fairfield for an snack or ice cream cone also top off here if you need to." - William Mullen (8/29/10)
- "Scenic highway, through desert and 'moonscape', and Craters of the Moon National Monument. Highway for 25 miles outside Idaho Falls is rough in places as the pebbled road surface is failing (6/2007). Long straight stretches. Limited gas, restaurant, motel facilities. Very light traffic.
