Rider Comments:

  • "It should be noted that the eastern section of Hines below Nankin Mills (Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive) is closed on summertime Saturdays from 9 to 3:30 for all motorized traffic. I generally ride the western section and use it to connect with North Territorial in Plymouth, or 7 Mile in Northville for a 'get outta town Westbound' ride." - Kevin D. (6/23/07)
  • "Edward Hines Drive is in a County Park whose road runs the length of the flood plain of the Rouge River. It has only a few stops, is very fun to ride in all seasons, and is hard to believe that it is located in the heart of an urban area. The speed limit is 40 though 45 is typical of traffic. Whether starting at 7 Mile and Sheldon Roads in Northville or at Ford Road/Outer Drive in Dearborn, both towns offer excellent restaurants, pubs and shopping. Northville has excellent eateries and a very nice Cider Mill while Dearborn has shopping, restaurants and Greenfield Village amongst the many things to do. Regardless, the ride is a nice 'get me outta here' ride that will mellow out your mind. Ride it and enjoy." - Joe Steffes
