This is one of the Greatest Rides.
Lots of scenic highway here, you can't go wrong with this one!

Nice, smooth roiling twisties for the first 35 miles and the road was in great condition, but once you get to Sparta and head north to 65 the road is somewhat plain and boring.
- Ted Schlaack (11/7/12)
Just before Sparta, there is a good river access if you want to get off the bike and take a summer splash.
Looks like a good 'locals' place.

Highway 125 from Peel's Ferry to Bradleyville is an awesome motorcycle riding road.
There was hardly any traffic, and it was very scenic.
Not to mention all the great wide curves!
There are over 100 curves within an 11 mile stretch north from the Highway 160 intersection in Rueter north to Bradleyville.
Every time I visit my friends in Branson, we take this run.
You've gotta ride it!
- Lady Rider, Tampa, FL (7/16/09)
The only part of this road worth riding is between Sparta and the Peel Ferry.
Very fun road, and if you cross into Arkansas, you need to run down to Yellville and eat at the Front Porch Cafe.

You can run 125 all the way to the ferry and cross into Arkansas, if you want to lengthen your ride.
- Rider from Nixa, MO (12/22/08)
Followed this out of Springfield, was disappointed at first, but after 10 miles or so, it started curving and curving and curving.
Good pavement, good scenery, nice twisties.
Fantastic ride for this Kansan (flatlander), then met a neat group on ferry, they introduced me to other roads on Arkansas side.
Doesn't get any better than that!
- Joe, Kansas City, KS (9/4/08)
Nice smooth tarmac entire route, good sweeping turns, and some twisty areas.
Gas up at Sparta or Chadwick because that's all there is.
Lots of beautiful Ozark views.
Watch for deer, slow moving Farmall jockeys, and roving packs of high speed crotch rockets on sunny Sundays, although traffic is usually pretty light.
At Arkansas line take a free ferry ride across Bull Shoals Lake on the Peale Ferry.
Where else can you take your scooter for a Ozark boat ride any cheaper?
- John Schurke (4/14/07)
My cousin took me on this ride. We loved it.
Good pavement, not much traffic, and REAL SCENIC.
Left out of Springfield on SR 125 and ran it to SR 14 at Lakeway.
Take the ferry at Browns Ferry crossing and end up in Yellville.
Stopped in Yellville and ate at the Dairy Queen, not recomended.
- Ray Huffhines (2/18/07)
Cross free ferry, stay on 125. Scenic, curvy, hilly, great ride.
