Rider Comments:

  • "A bit tough to find on the Mt. Airy end, as Franklin road is not marked - no road sign at all at the intersection with NC 89. Once we found it, the ride was awesome. Lots of nice twisties, well paved, and then it gets narrow, twisty and steep near the top by the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great ride, very little traffic!" - Butch Bennett (5/21/11)
  • "The road is wide and well maintained with pleanty of sweepers and a few tighter sweeps from Mt Airy up to Lambsburg, Va, then there is the large yellow sign that says "Tractor trailers not recommended.". From this point on the the road narrows and turns twisty." - Rider from Mount Airy, NC (7/6/10)
