Rider Comments:

  • "Roundabout Road starts off with sweepers and beautiful country scenery. The NC/TN state line runs along the top of the ridge and as you approach the summit, and the state line, the road name changes to Stage Road and the route becomes extraordinarily twisty. The ride down the mountain is best described as a paved trail. You are in the middle of nowhere. The road is safe and I have ridden it several times. I would not recommend it for beginners. The road runs from NC 88 over the ridge to TN 167. There is loose gravel in turns at the top of the ridge, don't let that scare you off, the road is in good shape and an experience to remember." - Kevin Harding (2/28/09)
