Rider Comments:

  • "I've been on this road many times. STAY IN YOUR LANE. It's a short cut between Blowing Rock and NC105. There are no prohibitions against trucks of any kind. I have met logging trucks, concrete trucks, bobtail semis, ambulances, firetrucks, bicyclists, DWI scooters and the worst, 80-year old doyennes commuting between bridge games. I second the remark about pavement conditions - humps, bumps, seams, pot holes, overhanging brush and limbs. Other than that, it's really fun." - Anonymous (9/12/08)
  • "Connects Hwy 105 and Hwy 221. The pavement is good in the Hound Ears Resort area but becomes a little rough the closer you ride towards Blowing Rock. The turns are tight throughout the road. A good route to by pass Boone." - Steve Seitz (9/12/08)
