Rider Comments:

  • "I've rode most roads from North Georgia to Shady Valley. 19W out of Erwin is the best piece of road I've rolled tires on." - John (6/3/11)
  • "19W is one of the best!!! I saw 1 car and it was at the end. Outside of that, I had the road to myself. Scenery is great but you'll stay too busy negotiating turns to appreciate it." - Steve Semenick, Indy. BMW K1100RS (7/19/09)
  • "The 'W' stands for 'Wowee!'. Starting from the Tennessee side, the first 15 miles or so are solid up-and-down twisty mountain delight through canopied forest. Once you reach lower elevations, the road wiggles along the Cane River. An amazing ride, especially in the early morning fog." - Rider from Durham, North Carolina (9/10/06)
