Rider Comments:

  • "Unfortunately bicyclists have taken over this road on weekends. Most are arrogant, hogging the whole road 3 to 4 abreast, and love to flip you the bird if you use your horn. If you ride it, make it late in the day when most of the non-motored two-wheelers are back in their Manhattan condos. Watch for fallen rocks -- no joke! Especially in the spring when the thawing cliffs release deadly boulders. There's a great little snack bar if you venture down the serpentine road to the Englewood Boat Basin, one of two boat basins along the road. Venture up the same road and there's the Royal Cliffs Diner in Englewood Cliffs. Enjoy." - Anonymous (7/29/10)
  • "A scenic route with sweeping turns without intersections or traffic lights. Just thick trees, jutting cliffs, crashing waterfalls, wildlife, and spectacular views of the Hudson and Manhattan. Road runs right under George Washington Bridge. Bikers paradise." - (1/19/08)
