Awful pavement quality for the first 15 miles or so.

Seriously, do not ride this on a stiffly sprung sport bike, it is barely passable, much less fun.
Gets better as you head north, but make sure to avoid the first part.

I was disappointed in this road.

It is poorly maintained and many superior roads exist within an hours drive.
In PA, NJ or NY, take your pick.

Rode Old Mine Road on 3/3/10.

The road is poorly maintained and our horrific winter and recent rain storms have only made it worse.
The view when you can look up from planning your next pothole dodge is excellent.
So long as you are willing to practice your hazard avoidance skills for the first 10 miles - ride this road.

I enjoyed the road very much, but no one mentioned the rough one lane road for two way traffic controlled by a traffic signal when entering from the south off of I-80.

Wait for the green light, there is not room for a bike and a car to pass on that section of road.
I didn't want to turn around after a dismal start, so I continued and after dodging potholes for a few miles the roads greatly improved and the speed limit changed from 15MPH to 35MPH.
I'll be entering on Millbrook Road next time to avoid that section of the Park.

Nice and relaxing. Only a saw half dozen cars the entire ride.

Old Mine Road is one of the best roads in New Jersey to ride any kind of bike.

This is a very relaxing road.
This road is sooo kool to ride on, that I had to buy a trailer in a campground off Old Mine Road so I can spend alot of time up there.
It is only about a 40-45 minute ride from the beginning of Route 80 to Route 206, but it is the best 40-45 minute ride.
It is great in the fall to see all the mountains in different colors.
One suggestion is that when you ride Old Mine Road you have to stop in at the Walpack Inn for a bite to eat or just a beer.
This restaurant is awesome to see and if you are lucky to show up when all the bears are in the field, that is a sight to see.
Thank you and enjoy the ride fellow riders.

Wonderful road, step back in time (hard to believe it's New Jersey!).

Get off Route 80 just before crossing into PA....head North along the river.
Can't say enough good things about this relaxing stretch of blacktop.
