- "After stuffing yourself with ribs from Tail O'the Pup in Ray Brook, head up through Saranac Lake to Ampersand (left at the traffic light). Follow Ampersand to Forest Home Road (County 18). This fantasic stretch of twists and minor altitude changes is worth the side trip. It is well paved, save for a few frost heaves. This is a second or third gear road for the most part. It lets out on Rte 30 at the fish hatchery. From here, it is North to Paul Smiths, South towards Tupper Lake, or turn around and take it again." - Eric Schuddeboom (2/17/09)
