Editor's note: Hunter Road can be combined with Debruce Road for a longer ride.
Rider Comments:
This is an unpainted road that winds its way up a mountain through tree-lined, very steep switchbacks, to emerge from a tunnel canopy into a gorgeous empty field on the hilltop.
The sensation of riding out into the open with a blue sky above you is unforgettable.
Going east to west, the first half of the route has some patchy road sections, but the second half has been recently repaved with black tarmac (2012).
Be very careful, the switchbacks are VERY SHARP and if you aren't good at low-speed hairpin turns you will find yourself crossing the road into the trees.
