- "I ride on this road all the time because I live nearby. I wouldnt classify it as "twisty". The Southern end is loaded with scenic rolling hills and orchards. North of Carlisle, it gets more interesting - offering more curves and a few decent scenic stretches. The 'fun factor' on this road is generally very limited because there is just way too much traffic and too many driveways and intersections to deal with - riding this road is usually a chore for me to be honest. However, the very BEST section of this road is the extreme northern end of Rt34 - an 8 mile stretch between US322 and US11/15 - this is a very scenic and lightly traveled section that offers a handful of tighter turns and a much higher fun factor than anywhere else on PA34." - Brad Morgan (4/6/09)
- "There is not a single section of "twisty" between Carlisle and Gettysburg. There is some lovely scenery and it could be considered scenic, but in no way could this road be considered twisty. I made a 275 mile loop today to try the sections of road your site listed as twisty. I was extremely disappointed with the descriptions that have been provided to you by other riders.
