Rider Comments:

  • "PA 381 offers some beautiful scenery - particularly on the northern half. The horse farms near US30 are absolutely gorgeous. Further south - you will pass through the Ohiopyle State Park and Frank Loyd Wright's Falling Waters - worth a stop. The tarmac is a bit worn in the northern section and as noted below - it is hard to follow at times - but conditions improve significantly as you head south - a good thing because there are a few very nice sweepers to enjoy on the southern portion as you approach US40." - Brad Morgan, Carlisle, Pa (7/30/08)
  • "VERY picturesque route, especially in the horse farm section between US30 and SR31. The road is twisty and at times hard to follow, so watch for signs. Also know that the road surface is old and in places not well cared-for, so use caution. But take your camera, because you'll be amazed, especially during the fall." - Ralph Couey (8/24/06)
