• "Great ride. A combination of a scenic/easy ride to Hawley, large curves etc. (coming from the west) to tighter turns to Lackawaxan. I stopped at a BBQ place in Hamlin (right side of the road if you're coming from the west in the middle of town) that was pretty good (especially the chicken) and when I went past there earlier in the afternoon saw about 15 riders there and bumped into a few when I came back an hour or two later. There's also a nice little scnenic overlook on the right (again coming from the west) a little before Hawley where bikers often pull over to chat and say hello. Take in the views of the pond and boats etc. The one problem is the boats that are so scenic on the pond are less so if you get caught behind one on the route." - Victoria, Brooklyn, New York (7/9/07)
• "A nice 2 lane road with little to moderate traffic in good condition. Enough twisities to keep you on your toes, some with nice elevation changes. For an extended run, Route 590 from Elmhurst to Hawley is full of scenic sweepers." - Robert Theobald
