Rider Comments:

  • "Great road with a variety of riding challenges. Great scenery. Be sure and stop by and check out Trough Creek State Park. It is worth the time." - Bruce E. Fry (8/17/09)
  • "Rt 944 is a great road to ride on and in 2006 they repaved the road so it is really smooth. If you want a place to stop and eat on the way, take a break in Three Springs at T & T Restuarant. They have great food and very low prices. This used to be an ice cream stand. The owners built onto it and now serve meals. My favorite is on Thrusdays which is all you can eat Ham Pot Pie! A 1/2 mile up the road is Pizza Star. They serve some of the best pizza around but also they are known for their salads. I have lived in the area my whole life so I know the road and the places to eat." - Joseph Meece (7/12/08)
  • "This road provides a fun and scenic ride - a little bit of everything you would want: some tight turns, rolling hills, great scenery, light traffic etc. - and you are rewarded at the end with some nice sweepers. The first few miles meander through the rolling farmland on the valley. Then you get into some more challenging sections as you ride through the Rothrock State Forest. You must negotiate plenty of twists and turns with some modest elevation changes. After you cross the brdige over Raystown Lake, you will be treated to a much more wide-open experience with a few excellent sweepers. Traffic is generally very light but watch-out for people pulling boats and campers on their way to Raystown Lake." - Brad Morgan, Victory Motorcycle Club, (5/10/07)
  • "Full of switch-backs and great mountain scenery. Crosses over Lake Raystown." - Rider from Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania
