Rider Comments:

  • "Excellent two lane paved riding road through some pretty lonely stretches of open prairie in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota. You can encounter severe headwinds and side winds anywhere along this route, so prepare for changing weather conditions. This may be a long boring road for some people, but I found it to be a great open road with very little traffic and some sweeping views of the prairie landscape. Scenery changes from rolling treeless open prairie for most of the route into the conifer forests of Minnesota. Check your gas tank regularly. Most small towns have full amenities, but check the quality of gasoline being sold. Lower octane gasoline with an Ethanol component may not be the best mix for higher performance bike engines." - Dick Yates (12/4/08)
