- "OK, I have to comment on this one. As I was researching new roads to ride W and NW of Austin around the lakes, I looked at Cow Creek Road on this website, and the only description was from someone on another website saying it was twisty and a challenge, but that it was 'basically dirt' and 'oilslick asphalt', which didn't sound good to me at all on my cruiser. Well, I was out there this past weekend, 10-10-2010, and this road is great. The pavement quality is exactly like the Willow City Loop, north of Fredericksburg, but with less potholes. The road is also known as County Road 328, which is the sign by Cow Creek that you will see if you're looking for it off of FM 1174. It doesn't have a yellow center line like the more major roads, but it is paved all the way through, and fine for all motorcycles to ride on. It is not extreme high speed, due to many blind spots and twists by the little bridges over Cow Creek, which it crosses several times. There are several cattle guards also, which have been recently smoothed out with new asphalt on either side of them. But, I and my buddy agreed that with the twists and scenery on this road, we like it much better than Willow City Loop, which is not twisty in my book at all, and has all the grouchy landowners with their 'no stopping or trespassing' signs, since there are so many bikes that go out there. If you want good scenery and twists, check this one out." - Rider from Arlington, TX (10/11/10)
