Rider Comments:

  • "Some friends and I rode out from Houston this weekend and experienced FM 1414 for the first time. It's an excellent road and one of the best in Texas. Very little traffic and the road itself was in very good condition." - Rob Taylor (6/14/10)
  • "This road is top notch, and nice to look at. I can't count how many times I've walked the little trails at Wild Azaela canyons, but it is worth a stop if your weary, thirsty or whatever. The curves are nice , but a couple of places have rain runoff including rocks from drives. Be safe and get to to know the road, because its worth a second trip! One of the best around!!" - Anonymous (7/28/08)
  • "This road is one of the best kept secrets in East Texas. As a matter of fact, all of East Texas is good for riding. Nice hills , curves, and not much traffic." - Rider from Houston, Texas (11/18/06)
  • "This is one of the best roads in the Piney Woods. It is woodsy, hilly, and very twisty. Sightlines are better from north to south. Wild Azalea Canyon is a worthy side trip, but is down a dirt road." - Rider from Orange, Texas (9/20/06)
