Rider Comments:
- "Recent construction and Leo activity has messed up another North Texas road. If you're on a sport bike stay away for a few. The locals have complained enough to get Leos setting up speed traps and making threats of impounding bikes. Be careful!!!" - Anonymous (7/23/08)
- "Pavement on north section (Altoga to JCT FM-545) is newly patched but very rough with spots of loose gravel from the skirt. Southern section (Altoga to JCT HWY-380) is nicely paved but usually has a lot of slow-moving traffic and only a couple of passing zones. This road looks really good on a map, but it's not worth much when it comes to motorcycling." - Anonymous (5/18/08)
- "First 1/4 of route from 380 through New Hope is bracketed by houses with some hidden driveways; be aware of drivers backing out with limited sightlines. Good pavement and nice scenery with sweepers through wooded section heading north, then clearing to open rolling prairies. A southbound route down 1377 to the east is a nice return route compliment to 1827." - Rider from Rockwall, Texas (10/23/07)
- "My brother and I took this road last night from US 380 to FM 545 and then west back home to Melissa. By far the best place I have been around the metroplex. Some nice curves and a couple you can actually lean into pretty good. There is some pretty rough road through the 2nd half, but it's a beautiful area for Texas. After you get past the rough spots you have a couple good straight aways to play around on if wheelies are you thing. Just remember it would take an ambulance a while to get there. FM 545 going west to SR 121 had some nice curves too, but watch for snakes and the smell from the slaughter house." - Joshua McAnally (6/1/07)
- "Nice sweepers with a couple of moderate 'S' turns." - Rider from Texas (5/23/07)
