Rider Comments:

  • "Rode this route this morning from 287/81 to FM 2499. Nice ride, very little traffic. A few of the twisties had bad spots in the middle of them as others have mentioned, but nothing a beginner/novice could not handle. Be careful on the stretch of FM 407 after 377 through Argyle, there are some really breathtaking houses and horse farms in the area." - Anonymous (9/23/11)
  • "I rode 407 from 287 to 377 on a Sunday morning after church. It really is a nice ride with leaning curves. The only issue is that this road had a lot of asphalt and is traveled pretty regularly by 18-wheelers and other heavy vehicles. The combination of the Texas heat, melted asphalt, and regular truck traffic can make the curves hazardous for bikes later in the riding season. Right now, however, the curves are in great shape. Have fun!" - KJL (6/14/09)
  • "This is a good little fun ride." - Jamey Carter (2/20/09)
  • "Rode from New Fairview to 377 on a Sunday morning around 10am. Super nice road! Fun little turns, nothing a intermediate rider couldn't handle." - AaronH (10/13/08)
  • "This is a nice change from taking Highway 114 West. It has a lot more leaning turns than 114. The only problem is the pavement is at it's worst in the turns." - Tom Hartman (12/24/07)
