Rider Comments:

  • "The wind turbine area (west of 277) is nice, but once you cross 277 and head east toward Buffalo Gap, it gets even better! Big hills and curves -- beautiful! There's a little Mexican restaurant called Lola's (at the very end of 89 where it meets 181) that serves great food...with an interesting little antique store (The Purple Buffalo) next door. Both are loaded with 'off the beaten path' charm!!" - J.H. from San Angelo (12/10/10)
  • "Yes, this is a great ride. Most definitely for the Sport Bike rider also. Watch out for deer in the mornings and evenings. There are a few 'rough' edges off the shoulder, so stay within the road lines." - J. Wyatt (6/30/07)
  • "As you leave the land of the Giant Wind Turbines you start on a 23 mile scenic ride with sweeping turns and hills. Just before entering Buffalo Gap from the South is a great place to grab a bite to eat after such a fun ride (Perini's Ranch)." - Chris Aten (3/27/07)
