Rider Comments:

  • "Rode RR 335 on 7/18/09. The water level for the Nueces and Frio Rivers are low, so the scenery is not as great as anticipated, but the ride itself is Top-Notch. Will definitely return when the water level is higher." - Rocky Hernandez Jr., Killeen, TX (7/22/09)
  • "I rode 335 today. It is a great ride. If you are going to the Hill Country for a ride, this is it. It has beautiful scenery and great roads that keep you on your toes. I was going to stop and take pictures, but it was just too much fun to stop." - Anonymous (4/1/09)
  • "Going from south to north is the safest way to ride RR 335 because of the falling rock on the west side of the road. Either way, it is one of the best in the Hill Country." - Anonymous (3/23/09)
  • "What an amazing ride! Ranch Road 335 is the best of the 3 twisted sisters. To those who are curious, this is not a knee dragging road, it's a scenic ride. As previous posts claim, watch for wildlife and some corners have gravel in the apex. There's a scenic pull-over (it's gravel, be careful). I highly recommend to stop and enjoy the view. Don't forget to pack water if you plan on riding all 3 twisted sisters, it's a little desolate. Happy riding!" - Anonymous (12/1/08)
  • "WOW what a scenic ride. Only road in and out of the long valley. The road hugs along the western side and is very twisty and ups and downs. Some rich folks live out there just to impress people with estates that have exotic animals (Camels, kanagaroos, African antelopes and deer, peacocks). The uphills have different kinds of vegatation and you really have to watch out for fallen rocks. This is the kind of area that should be donated to the state to keep safe from development. It is a one of a kind of valley. Coming up out of this scary ride you end up at the top of a mountain range and are driving the top of platoes and very arid flat land to the west. I am glad I drove up from the south to the north. I don't think I could have handled the veiws going down those hugh mountain turns. Watch out for animals and big birds all along the road." - Anonymous (6/20/08)
  • "Great Riding, will do again. Great turns and twists along this ride. This one is my favorite out of the 3 twisted sisters: 335, 336, 337. When in Texas, ride this road. Watch for rocks and wildlife on the road as always." - Charles Bailey, Crosby, Texas (10/16/07)
  • "I (a police officer) have worked 4 motorcycle wrecks in the last two months, including one head on yesterday. Gravel and rocks fall on the road and become a hazard. Watch the road very careful. Be safe." - Jay Adams (5/6/07)
  • "Very scenic with curves and hills. Out on this ride there are no cars, just the wind in your face. Excellent. Also rode RR 337 and RR 336." - Brett Harris (4/28/07)
  • "This was the first time I had the chance to ride the 'Twisted Sisters' and it was amazing. Being a native of North Texas and now living in West Texas, I never expected to see the beautiful terrain I witnessed, especially in Texas. The roads were full of breath taking switch backs and shear cliffs. Watch out for the falling rocks and remember, that regardless how much you want to look around, make sure you pay attention to the road. You could easily become a part of the scenary." - Rider from San Angelo, Texas (1/1/07)
  • "One of the '3 Twisted Sisters' in the Hill Country (RR 335, 336 and 337) and one of the most fun roads I've ever been on." - Mark Rickards - (5/12/06)
