Rider Comments:
- "This is a FANTASTIC road for twisties with nice elevation changes - similar to the 'Dragon' only shorter:(. From San Antonio to Bandera is nice with high speed sweepers - caution of DPS police patrols. There is a gas station at the head of the RR 337 road if you enter from Bandera Hwy 16 - fuel before you go. The curves will have you so leaned over if you are aggressive that the bike may 'gup' for fuel. It's semi boring from Hwy 16 to the curves as it is a straight road and lulls you to sleep including the illusive cattle catchers (cattle grids) on the main road. The only caution is to ride through the first time slower to see and clear for rocks, deer, and familiar yourself with the road. If you do make a mistake on the hill portion, there are cables set up as barriers instead of Armco barriers. The cable will easily take off arms or heads, and there are some steep drop-offs if you do lose it." - Rob, San Antonio, TX (10/29/09)
- "Just to update -- as of November 15, 2008 the unpaved 3 mile stretch is now freshly paved." - Anonymous (11/17/08)
- "Took RR 337 this past weekend and I agree with all the comments. However, currently there is a 3 mile stretch right before you get to Leaky that is completely unpaved, very rocky and dusty." - Kevin (3/17/08)
- "Just made this ride July 06! Beautiful hills and valleys but the wonderful curves will make you keep your eyes on the road. Tight two lane fun. Ride it both directions." - Shain Emerine (7/23/06)
- "As a long-time Texas motorcyclist this has to be one of the best roads our great state has to offer. And trust me, after you out of state motorcylists ride this ride, you will never again say Texas is flat or boring, which it is neither. I will put it up against any road in the US... This is the REAL Texas..." - Donovan Reese - (5/4/06)
- "Probably the BEST motorcycle road in Texas in terms of scenery AND quality. Not only do you get breathtaking views, but the curves and twisties are awesome! Hands down my favorite Texas road. (So far.)" - Rider from Lubbock, Texas - (4/14/06)
- "Excellent road, with very sharp corners in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. WATCH for deer!" - Andrea McGilvray - (4/16/04)
