• "This is a very good ride...and the 40 to 50 miles North of Monterey on Route 220 is even better. That stretch is a 45-60 mph flat, smooth turns, nice road in a neat little valley that gets pretty narrow at times, and follows a river almost the whole way. The Highland Inn in Monterey is a great old refurbished hotel that is wonderful, and relatively inexpensive...and they have a truly wonderful menu to choose from.
