Rider Comments:

  • "This is a classic Vermont back road, crossing the spine of the Green Mountains. Bookended by two small towns, and running between two main north-south routes, it's easy to get to, and yet provides a relatively traffic-free, lovely mountain road and a challenging mix of fast sweepers and tight, first-or-second gear kinks. Bread Loaf Writers' Center straddles the road about half way along, so watch for pedestrians. And moose. The road condition sucks, but a lot of bikers use this road, and there is some good pavement and sightlines to make for a fun ride. Eat at either end." - Rider from Proctor, VT (9/5/09)
