• We took this road from Petersburg all the way down to where it hits 39 into Marlinton. It's a fine warm up ride to get you prepared with it's mile after mile of sweepers with good passing zones and great pavement. Not much tight stuff but a fun place to play until you get to the more technical roads deeper in. A little known fact, the Green Bank Observatory has a cafe with fine, made from scratch wraps and other decent food with tables with a nice view of the NRAO dish. - Anonymous (4/15/12)
• Took this road from US 33 to WV66 on a week day. Low traffic with all the twists and turns I came to West Virginia to ride. Road was in good condition but didn’t see anywhere to eat on the section I rode. - 'PA Ultra Rider' (10/10/11)
• I rode Route 28 from Judy Gap to Green Bank (50mi.) on 7-15-08. Route 28 is in very good condition, many hills and twisties, little traffic, and good scenery. I'm looking forward to riding this road again. - 'Motorpsycho Jim' (7/23/08)
• A wonderfully scenic road full of sweepers and twisties. Up and down thru high mountains and deep valleys, with spectacular views thrown in just for good measure. 28 merges with 250 at Thornwood, then breaks south on its own a couple of miles later near Bartow. - Jeff Spiker (6/16/07)
