• "Good pavement but narrows in the middle part of the route. Elevation around 7,500 feet at the highest point. Mostly wide sweeping turns with a few tighter curves mixed in. Lower part of the route is wide open scenery of rolling sage hillsides. Middle of route has creek side and steep sage with some timber. Rugged hill country. Big game winter range. Upper portion of the route straightens and turns into agricultural fields. One small bar in the middle of the route, (didn't get a chance to stop and check it out). No gas stations." - Tim B. • "Locally known as Wheatland or Laramie Cut Across. Goes through Sybille Canyon. East end of road has gentle curves and goes past several ranches and farms. Roughly 20 miles, enter canyon, which also has the Game and Fish Visitor Center. Doesn't look open but there are turnouts to look at the Buffalo and other local wildlife. Twisty in the Canyon itself, then comes out to the Western end with flat, open prairie. A ranch house or two and then US 30. Head south for Laramie. NOTE: NO SERVICES. Check fuel / top off in Laramie or Wheatland (direction dependent) before leaving. Not much traffic, great scenery, enjoy the ride!" - Rider from Cheyenne, WY (6/18/09)
